I just thought it was the Haas car off until I saw Alonso crawling out from under what was left of the McLaren.

Same here. I was so confused as to how the Haas car ended up there... Then I saw something weird and didn’t realize it was actually a car, or what was left of it.

Yeah, I too was very confused as to what that was up against the tires. So glad Alonso walked away from that. That was probably the worst wreck since Kubica in Canada years ago.

Yep. And fuck the guys who design the gravel traps! Seriously, they may as well have used a ramp.
I know the problem isn’t as simple as that, but hitting the gravel in such a way that a car that’s sliding along the ground becomes this airborne shouldn’t be a thing.

I want to see footage of how he got out. The dust hadn’t even settled yet, and he was standing next to the car. I think he even got out of the car before Gutierrez did.
